Re: How/When to correct an instructor

I certainly agree that one should try and correct in private and I absolutely did not want to embarrass or even correct this man in front of anyone but for the last incorrect info he put out I would not have. I just felt it was so over the top and aggregious that I had to. I respect the fellow for p...

How/When to correct an instructor

I thought I would relay what I thought was a fairly disappointing experience that happened while attending a hunting safety course with my teenaged son recently here in Texas. Thought it might be a catalyst for some useful discussion. The 2 day course was being tought by a state certified firearms s...

Re: Printing - failure to conceal?

Thanks for all the thoughtful deliberation...I am certain I am not printing like the LEO in a muscle shirt...just a lump under a loose shirt. The Blackhawk Speed Classic is great. It is solidly constructed, feels like top grain leather an stitching is top notch. It holds the 642 securely and I have ...

Re: Printing - failure to conceal?

I am a fairly new CHl and was carrying a 642 with a blackhawk speed classic OWB at 4:00...just for those of you who were wondering. So I know I am probably a bit sensative about carrying since I am new at it...but still, could an LEO charge you with something if he were to make you...from printing?

Printing - failure to conceal?

This may have been asked a dozen times but I have not seen it...if I am printing and someone notices and notifies management at Home Depot or something or a handy LEO...am I in trouble for something? This occured to me today as I felt like I was printing alittle. Thanks!

Punk gets some Justice

BOSQUE COUNTY - An attempted robbery went awry around 10:15 Tuesday Morning when the store's owner saw a man with a ski mask coming through the door, pulled out his gun, and began firing at the masked man. The clerk managed to hit the robber twice, once in each thigh, as the masked man escaped. Staf...

Re: another shooting range death

Sad situation alright. I am curious if it was someone not being safe on the firing line. I bet everyone here has seen really unsafe knucleheads pointing their weapon everywhere while in between the range going hot. Coincidentally, I posted this to Thehighroad.org today and was chastised by the moder...

Wally Walk at Red Lobster

Alright...I did my first cc tonight with the family for my son's birthday. No problems and was even able to forget I had it on me. My carry was my XD .40 SC with a Minotaur IWB from comp-tac. I need a better belt though...that will be my next purchase. The skrimpz were alright too... Oh ye...

Re: Legal Knives?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I guess it will suffice to say there is room for interpretation of the poor wording of some of these statutes. I also agree with the last post and I will just leave the knive at home and pack my XD-40 SD and soon, maybe a nice J frame....

Legal Knives?

Howdy Everyone,

New CHL came today! Now I look forward to the "Wally Walk" this week. One question...I have seen some references here about a CHL holder being able to carry knives that might otherwise be illegal. Is this true?

Thanks in Advance,

Rodney
