Re: Finally, a CHLer is portrayed as the victim

Ever heard of the 'ol "possum in a sack" trick?

You catch a possum and stuff it in an old purse. Then set the purse down on top of a gas pump. Inevitably someone comes along for gas and notices the purse. If they they are the thieving type, they will snatch the purse up and jump back in their car. Once they get down the road they open up the stolen purse. Out comes the (hissing, growling) possum, justice and hilarity ensue!

Of course I never do anything like this, but my cousin Slinky would.

Oddly, as I posted this, my neck reddened.

Edit: (to fit this thread) Please feel free to use this trick as a means of defense or protection. All credit to cousin Slinky.

Re: Finally, a CHLer is portrayed as the victim

Cruising around late at night in a convertible might not be stupid, but it is risky. But then again, so is driving around Houston in anything short of a tank (day or night).

Kudos to the young lady that tricked the rapist into going to her brother's apartment. Thank God he was armed and the second victim was able to escape. This nightmare could have turned out even worse.
