CHL on motorcycle

I'll be back home in TX in about two months from my tour here in Iraq. Since I've been gone my wife went and bought me a new motorcycle. I have a KD Dakota defender holster that arrived at the house since I've been gone. Does anyone have any experiences with carrying while riding? I hope the KD work...

Yeah, I'm a carpenter in the AF. My name refers to my sickness as a Rangers fan. I can't help it, I was born that way.

Re: Criminal History Check

Can it be assumed then that if you can legally buy a weapon through a licensed dealer that you will automatically qualify, or are there other things that the chl check is looking for? I guess, what is the difference in just a firearms NICS check and the CHL criminal check.

Re: Which weapon type is affected least by the cold?

I carries a 1911 when I was stationed at Elmendorf , AK. Also, when I would go out on hunting trips up there I would use lithium grease on my rifle and I never had problems. I had heard about guys having their rifles seize on them, but I never saw it. Have fun at Minot, I have a few buddies up there...

Re: How long now?

Well I called DPS on Wednesday just to let them know I was going to be out of the country for a while in case this had any bearing on the investigation at least they would know where I was at. They said it would be no problem and that it should only be about another three weeks. They said that when ...

Re: How long now?

I wouldn't expect them or even ask them to speed mine along just because I'm leaving. The worst part is my wife has her CHL class this weekend and she's already bragged that she'll do her wally walk before I get home. She's addicted to guns now and even had me buy her a Taurus pt-22 yesterday. She l...
