Their federal law comment is out of ignorance.

Banks are like other private property in Tejas. I'd not waste any breath on the poor tellers. Probably a short, polite visit with the bank manager though, suggesting removal of 30.06 sign or intent to take money elsewhere. And if they don't yank their sign, yank the money - and follow-up with letter to manager's supervisor as to why.

I don't have need to go into 'em often, but I've yet to see a bank in our area with a 30.06 sign. About the only "proper" signs I've seen locally are at gun shows - where I have no problem with their posture.

Was up at DPS office on Loop 288 in Denton earlier this week. There was only tape on the glass around the perimeter of where the 30.06 sign USED TO BE. :D
