Re: Embarrasing Question

I sometimes carry an H&K USP Compact. I believe that the P2000 is based on the USP, but with some differences; and the P2000SK is analogous to the USP Compact. The USP Compact can be carried decocked and safety off perfectly safely. The decocked trigger pull is long and deliberate, and it is not going to go off in the holster any more than a revolver will do so. Since the decocked position leaves the hammer "1/4 cocked," it can't accidentally discharge if the gun is dropped. I have to carry it that way because I am left handed, and H&K has basically abandoned its customers when it comes to parts availability. I've been trying for a year to get an ambi safety for it. They are supposed to be available, but Germany isn't shipping them to the U.S., and nobody in this country makes an aftermarket ambi safety for this gun.

All of that aside, I carry it IWB at about 8:30, and it is quite comfortable to carry. It actually carries just as comfortably as my Kimber UC II, despite its added size compared to the Kimber. I carry the USP in a Galco Summer Comfort Holster, and since your P2000SK is based on the USP Compact, I would imagine that they use the same holster. I bought the holster direct online from Galco. I don't remember the exact price, but it seems to me that it was somewhere around $55-$60.

I hope this helps you.
