Rayden, they wanted a copy of my birth certificate, signed by the U.S. Consul (or other qualified US representative), and a copy of my U.S. passport. I just received my license in the mail today! The time lapsed was 70 days, which included a hiccup in the process because they required additional information due to my having been born overseas. I just got back from my "Wally Walk," which actually took place in a local Target and a local Market Street grocery store. I was carrying a Commander sized Sig 1911, strong side IWB.

Well, I haven't received mine yet, so I can't answer the question as to how long it took, but I can answer to some degree how long it will take...
As I posted here, DPS waited 39 days, during which they did NOTHING with my paperwork, before telling me that they wanted me to send them additional information (see link for details). They also told me that the 60-90 days begins when they receive the additional information. So, in my case, it will have taken somewhere between 99-129 days from their original receipt of my completed materials.
DPS sucks.
