Yep, which is why a lot of people still put faith in single stack .45s. Agree about the rifle part. I don't carry and extra magazine because I need to carry lots of ammo. I carry an extra magazine in case I have a magazine malfunction — which can happen with
any semi-auto pistol. But a single 30 round AR magazine beats two 7 or 8 round .45 (or two 15 round 9mm, for that matter) magazines every single time.
