I'll bring an extra walker.03Lightningrocks wrote:I have an appt tomorrow afternoon. I am gonna ask for permission to go shooting. I don't see how it could hurt unless they are concerned about the shock. I am still a maybe. I might wear out quick, but I might get to go.
Yeah, part of my problems today is because L3/L4 and L5/S1 are really starting to break down.suthdj wrote:For me it was my C6-C7 and now after 8 years C5 is showing some degeneration due to the added stress from having C6&C7 fused. I would imagine your L3 will get the same results, but the Dr said I did not need to worry for a long time. The Annoyed Man wrote:I don't know about the neck, but I had the disc removed and vertebrae fused at L4/L5. I've never fully recovered, but I am also better off than I was before the surgery, so I guess I don't have any regrets.
You can shoot FMJ in the tactical range at Elm Fork. The problem is that the distance is only about 25 yards. Of course, for a Mosin, that's probably ideal.rexinthecity wrote:You just can't shoot any FMJ rifle rounds which sucks. All I have for my nagant are surplus FMJ rounds. I can't find any place that will let me shoot it.
It's also at least 2 votes for me wearing pants.Hoi Polloi wrote:That's two votes for Mercado Juarez! It's in the lead to Genghis Grill's one.mikeintexas wrote:I'm glad that TAM will have pants on! I am going to see if I can talk Mrs. mikeintexas to join us as well. She mentioned going to the range a few days ago, this would accomplish some range time and more faces with names. And lunch at Mercado is always good!
It'll be nice to have you and the Missus!
Don't worry, I'll be wearing pants.AndyC wrote:Name-tags would be nice - perhaps I should wear mine across my face like a bandit so small children don't get frightened, and TAM can wear his over his tattoo

Maybe by then I'll have forgotten I want to slap you.

I'll bring:
Sig P239 9mm with CT Lasergrips
RIA 1911A1-FS (5" GI model with mods) .45ACP
RIA 1911a1-CS (3.5", box stock) .45ACP
Kimber Ultra CDP II .45ACP
If someone brings a new shooter (or is just curious), I can put my Kimber 22lr conversion on one of the RIA's.
10/2 would be fun. 10/5 is my 58th b'day.Hoi Polloi wrote:There's also Oct 2. Would that be better?
If we're going to go to Elm Fork this time, the 18th is off because of the get-together at Alpine that day. What a wonderful timing problem, no?

Saturday the 18th is our big Skeet Day (viewtopic.php?f=87&t=37398" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). The 25th looks good for me.Excaliber wrote:I'll throw out Saturday Sept. 18 and Saturday Sept. 25 as proposed dates. Discussion / votes?
Mine isn't the Scout model, it's the full length Loaded model.... but yeah, I could bring it if you bring the ammo. It prefers bullets in the 150-168 grain range.Keith wrote:Elm Fork sounds good to me also. Annoyed Man your not going to bring the Springfield Scout
