I'd have to agree. My wife's G19 has about as short a grip as I'd want for a double stack 9mm with that kind of capacity. And by the way, I really do kid about the Glock vs 1911 thing. I think that 1911s are much prettier and I love how flat and easy they are to conceal, but I have to admire the form of a gun that is all about function and nothing else. I don't think that Glocks are perfect, but they are good solid reliable guns, and you could do a whole lot worse. I just can't carry one because I have somewhat fleshy hands, and the overhang above the backstrap isn't quite long enough to keep the area between my thumb and index finger from getting bit by the slide - even on my wife's G19. I imagine that it would be worse on a gun with an even shorter grip. All my 1911s have a beavertail grip safety, and my M&P has enough of that overhang above the backstrap to protect my hand.
