Other than the Crimson Trace Laserguard laser unit ($219, http://www.crimsontrace.com/products/ty ... rd/01-2250), I can't think of anything that would be a better accessory for a LCP than a LC9. Without meaning to ignite another calliber war, the .380 caliber is considered by many to be a marginal self-defense caliber, and there are a few relatively inexpensive pocketable single-stack 9mm pistols out there, including the LC9. Others would be the Kel-Tec PF9 (whose design Ruger ripped off to produce the LC9 at a higher price), and the Kahr CM9/CW9. If you could carry a 9mm, without sacrificing pocketability, magazine capacity, or a significant weight difference, wouldn't you want to? Also, you'll probably find 9mm ammo to be less expensive over the long haul and with a broader variety of choices—both for practice and for carry use.guntotinpreacher wrote:I am new to the whole CHL thing (just turned 21 a little while ago, been "under review" for about 2 weeks now . My question is, what are the things I should invest in to go along with my concealed carry gun? Right now, I just have the gun (Ruger LCP .380), a pocket holster, and a spare 6 shot magazine. What else would you advise/recommend for being fully prepared? Any suggestions are appreciated!
