Only law enforcement can find out by checking the DPS database. You are not required to reveal your status to anyone else, and nobody else has access the the CHL database kept by DPS.SA_Steve wrote:Just wondering...has a license holder ever served on a jury in TX ? On a high profile case that is.
I imagine the tie-in with the DL means anyone who really wants to know can find out.

Re: Another casualty of Open Carry
Ah.... I searched on "Tinseltown", and then "Cinemark Tinseltown", both with and without "Grapevine", and I promise you that your listing didn't come up or I wouldn't have bothered. But now it does, and of course, you're right..... yours predates mine. That's odd....... Maybe there is something wrong with the search algorithm. And if yours was there all along, why was mine approved by the moderator?chasfm11 wrote:Go to that website, search on "Grapevine" without other parameters and look at the list. I think that the duplication is because of the address. The Annoyed Man wrote:But mine were posted first! Note the dates.
I'll have to mention it to Russell.

I remember those years quite well. I ALSO remember that, despite my liberal politics at the time, I would have been terrified to talk to other adults that way. Why? Respect. That's why. Apparently that little piece of coprolite lacks the capacity for it.Oldgringo wrote:TAM is no spring chicken. Perverts is what they are.
It really makes them mad to realize that someone else would defend themselves while they cowered in the corner and begged not to be hurt.

Awesome news! So, when and where do you want to eat? (Please don't say GVM.....I hate that place anyway, like I hate all malls. )Richbirdhunter wrote:I just left the GVM office and asked them about about the 06 signs coming down and he said it was true. Freedom scares people, we have been told it's ok to lose freedom for safety. What freedoms are you willing to give up for safety? We have the patriot act, Obamacare, "common sense" gun laws. All of these things make us safer. Do you feel free?
BTW, I hope you're right and I lose. Unless you've got some insider information though, I'm just skeptical is all. GVM has been no friend to gun owners, and I've been doing what little mall-shopping I do at the Northeast Mall in Hurst instead. Hopefully, you're right.
I thanked him for the change in policy and shook his hand.
TAM, are you hungry? I could eat.

Re: Another casualty of Open Carry
stingeragent, that wasn't directed at you. "You people" refers to someone whose reaction to seeing someone carrying a gun is to respond with an implied sexual insult - "ammosexual".stingeragent wrote:Who is "you people"? I am not a member of OCT, I just try to keep an open mind. In these scenario's, I typically say a mom because MDA is one of the biggest anti-gun groups out there. I am not a sexist if that's what you are implying. I have a wife and daughter and they both shoot so thanks.

Re: Another casualty of Open Carry
Probably not, but a pretty good response is "Why is always about sex with you people? Can't you think of anything else?"stingeragent wrote:Ok so I have a hypothetical question to anyone who thinks OCT is the cause for all the anti-gun sentiment. Lets say you go to starbucks and lets say open carry of handguns and long rifles is legal. There was never an OCT group, or any other pro gun group running around with AR's. You go into the store with your holstered pistol and inside is a mom that despises guns and their owners, and refers to them as ammo sexuals. Do you think that mom's response to you is going to be different if your inside with a pistol versus if you went in with an AR on your back?
