Re: Have the bureacrats gone beyond the chl law?

Credit reports, divorce records and medical records? Is there no end to the demand to surrender one's privacy in order to get a Texas chl? I saw that on this site: http://www.geocities.com/thavlai/w66.html Does one really have to provide such personal information in order to get a Texas chl? Okay, maybe it's too much to ask that Texas be as liberal as Vermont, but should it really be necessary to give up to the State such personal information that seems to go beyond

Have the bureacrats gone beyond the chl law?

At this site it gives eight qualifications for getting a Texas chl: http://www.txchia.org/getchl.htm Somewhat more detailed is this site: http://chltraining.com/eligibility.html I am wondering if the bureaucrats in Austin have usurped the actual law that was passed in going beyond these requirements and making their own requirements in the application process. For instance, isn't it required that one provide his work history? Presumably if you find that requirement intrusive and choose not to respond to it, your application can be denied because of that refusal. Is that true or not? If it is true, where in the actual law that was passed and the governor signed is that requirement demanded? Or have the bureaucrats, simply on their own, added an additional requirement to getting a chl? How does Texas compare to other States in requiring so much personal information (above and beyond the requirements listed in the sites above)?
