Your license can be suspended if you're charged with a class A or B misdemeanor. Even if you didn't commit a criminal offense and are found not guilty, if it happens enough times it seems like your license could be revoked.seamusTX wrote:One issue sticks in my mind as very confusing: There are some infractions of the rules that are not criminal offenses but will get your license suspended.
Also remember that changing your name or address falls under 411.181 and modifying from NSA to SA falls under 411.184. I hear DPS wants you to return the old license if you change your address but the law doesn't require it. 411.187 says they can suspend it for not returning a modified license as required by 411.184(d) which is NSA to SA only.
