CHL'ers and church security
I'm sure this has been discussed here before but after searching I couldn't find where...anyway, what legal way can CHL'ers serve the church in a security way while carrying? Or can they? My take on it is that they can't, but if a situation occurs and you happen to be there then that's one thing, bu...

Re: How would you improve the Texas CHL program?
I would allow law abiding citizens to carry more places...no sense why the bad guys can carry where ever they want and we are restricted.

Re: school carry / event
Thanks for the responses...sounds kind of like a gray area. I guess concealed is concealed...but when you career is on the line maybe erring on the side of caution makes the best sense...I always tell my wife, if I ever get shot up at something like this then she better make a big court case on my b...

school carry / event
Hey everyone, I have a quick question about what is considered school event/location. I'm a teacher that recently attended a staff development course at a hotel. There are no kids, only teachers. Would it be legal to carry to something like that or would that be considered a school event? I guess it...

Kids ages and hunting??
Hey everyone...a quick poll here...what were the ages that you took your kids on their first hunt? What gun? and how was the experience for you and them? I am currently planning a pheasant hunt for me and my 8 year old son, using a single shot .410(that is what I learned on) ps-My wife is worried he...

back up gun or not?
How many of you carry a back up gun (bug)? I do sometimes, but wanted to hear what everyone thought on this issue. Do you feel they are necessary? If your primary is good enough do you really need one? and what do you carry for your bug?

Oklahoma lets guns in colleges
Have you all seen the headlines on cnn.com about Oklahoma working on a bill to allow CHL's and a few others legal rights to carry on college campuses. I wonder how long until Texas follows? This is pretty encouraging in lieu of all the college shootings lately. What does everyone think of this?

Re: .45 Glock vs. Sig
I own a Glock 30 and carry it regularly...there is no better 45 ACP to conceal carry or I would have it. Glock is one of if not the best pistol manufacturer out there. I would go with the Glock 30 because they are one sweet gun. I also recently bought a Glock 39, it is a 45GAP, which uses a smaller ...

concealed carry on Disney vacation
Hey...so we are planning a vacation to Disney world this summer. From what I have found it is legal for Florida CHL's to carry inside the theme parks. Does anyone have any experience with this or any idea of whether or not it is legal. TX says no amusement parks, but it is not restricted in FL...is ...

non CHL car carry
I'm new to this posting, so forgive me if this is already addressed throughout the forum. I'm sure it is, but haven't had time to go through all the ins and outs of texasshooting.com. Anyway, so it is legal for a non CHL to carry a loaded firearm in the car, as long as they do not carry it on their ...

Re: Carry in the car question
so it is legal for a non CHL to carry a loaded firearm in the car, as long as they do not carry it on their person outside of that vehicle...correct? The reason I ask for clarification is this...my wife is signed up for a chl class but has not received her license yet. I do have my license. I really...
