carry across border to mexico?

here is an interesting question for us Texans so close to Mexico...

Does anyone know the international laws(if there are any) about carrying if you cross the border into mexico? Or another question...what if you were flying into Mexico...would you check your weapon, how does customs handle that...and does Mexico even have gun laws allowing carry? I'm just curious if anyone out there knows or has any experience with this.
