Ditto.

I carry 1911's 95% of the time and carry cocked & locked on a loaded chamber, thumb safety on. As a side note, when doing this, make sure your thumb safety has a positive "click" when going on and off. I've seen many over the years that seem to mush on and off and some "mush" easier than others! These would worry me.
