I'm glad DPS reads the forum because they'll be interested in the comment about the waiting period. DPS was at the Texas Firearm Instructors Conference on April 27th and they confirmed that applications were being processed in about 30 days, unless there is a problem like something missing. Yes, there can be exceptions, but a 72 day processing period absolutely is not the norm. I have students emailing me and advising that they have received a new CHL in as little as 3 weeks and I think the longest time I've had reported recently has been 50+ days.bw412 wrote:I've called and emailed both.
