Well, maybe I preached the funeral of the parking lot bills too early. SB534 by Sen. Hegar passed the Senate on 3/26/07 and is currently in the House Calendars Committee.

In all candor, I forgot that SB534 had already passed the Senate. So, if it comes out of the Calendars Committee, it might just pass the House. SB534 is also a Southwest Airlines-type of procedure, as is HB992.

All parking lot bills are dead. Any House Bill that hasn't passed the House by Friday is dead. The only parking lot bill with even a slight chance of passing will die in the Calendars Committee.
