I too disagree with making either the written test or the range portion of the class more difficult. Twenty years of experience with CHL proves there is no problem that needs fixing.

The test is not available except in the class. Any instructor that provides the test outside of class would likely have their certificate revoked. Pay attention in class and you won't have any trouble.
