Re: Killeen Poll
Thanks for the clarification. What I gather from her statement is that whether the bill will exempt private schools or not they are going to defy it. Same as leo's arresting for an offense that they KNOW is now legal under a new law just because they don't like it and believe that it shouldn't be so.

Re: Killeen Poll
Four Jacks & A Jill. Not that I knew that off the top of my head but merely the results of a quick google search. It would probably help if I was born before 85' but alas, I was not. If I had it my way I would have liked to have been 18-19 and just come out of the service after the war was won. I greatly admire the times back then that defined the way people lived in America and just how determined and upstanding people were in those days. Business with a handshake, looking people in the eyes when you spoke to them, teh way everyone dressed... I digress.

Re: Killeen Poll
I voted too. It has been shown time and time again in numerous polls that the majority of Texans are for this bill.
1.) Law enforcement has never had problems identifying the good guy before so why is it now all of a sudden an issue? Another thing, looking at the time that elapses before law enforcement actually enters the building they more than likely will not even come in contact with anyone with a gun because the chl'er will have already neutralized the situation and re-holstered hours before."As a law enforcement officer, I don't see anything positive out of it," .....
Law enforcement officers would be unable to differentiate between the perpetrator and those trying to help in a violent situation, she said.
2.) Wow. I don't know if this school is private or not, but I bet the biggest fuel to the student protests against this bill come from their professors and the like. Our educators are getting way out of hand these days when they try to influence personal beliefs on people who are programmed to take note and listen to them. Heck, my yournger brother's government teacher has him believing that socialist economic policies are good and what America needs adn that every capitalist country eventually fails. Not too long ago I remember seeing in the news that a gay/lesbian teacher took the class of young students on a field trip to witness a gay/lesbian marriage. Like I said, completely out of hand.Carol Woodward, a spokesperson for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, said the UMHB campus will continue to ban firearms, even if the legislation is passed.
