Sock drawer works for me. Then again, I dont have kids in the house. Sad how times have changed. When I was a kid, all the guns were in an old fashioned unlocked gun cabinet. We knew better. Same way when my kids were young. Ive always believed that a big part of teaching kids gun safety is taking the mystery out of the guns.
I do have a safe to keep the other guns in, but my Kimber sleeps in the sock drawer within easy reach from the bed.
