First Encounter - Good but confused
About 100 yards from leaving my driveway there is a slight rise in the road and just as I reached the top I could see the top of the Comal County Sheriff's car off to the side off the road. Looking down at the dash I saw my speed was between 35 and 40 (35 MPH speed zone) so I backed off a little to ...

Re: grey area question
This brings up another question. If in fact a lease is treated as "your property" why not just open carry? It would be treated as "your property" since you lease.

Re: is the drury hotel on the riverwalk posted?
The "Texas Land and Cattle" Steak House is located on the Riverwalk level of the Drury and you enter through the Riverwalk entry of the Drury. I have not seen a 30.06 at this entrance during our visits over the past few months.

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
I know it is posted here elsewhere but just to confirm: San Antonio International airport (Terminal 2) has a very legal 30.06 notice posted at all the main entrances coming from the parking lot and well outside the secure area of the airport. Did a little research and the San Antonio airport web sit...

Re: A San Antonio Airport Laugh
I'm trying to figure out in my travel if that is Terminal 1 or 2 you saw that.... I usually leave so early that starbux is the only liquid I swill. As for the sign, it reminds me of when I ordered a cherry slush. On the side of the styrofoam cup which had a polar bear, igloo, and the logo 'Icee', i...

A San Antonio Airport Laugh
Flew out of San Antonio on 5 June. After getting through security and down to the gate I had about 45 minutes before my flight started to board. I pulled up a stool and after ordering an adult beverage my eyes locked on a big sign posted on the mirror next to the cash register. To my surprise it was...

Good Snake Gun
Working the yard today and found a couple of young rattlers sunning themselves on the black-top. Although I felt threatened (no I didn't draw) I just hit them with a hoe. Enough said. What is a good snake gun? I heard allot about a little 410 available just about everywhere. New to Texas and I hate ...

Re: Finger prints
The FAST print location in San Antonio always has spaces available. Made and paid for my appointment online and at 2 pm was only the 3rd set of fingerprints processed all day.

Re: My First Experience (Airline Travel with Firearm)
I can remember when I picked my mother up at the San Antonio Airport. Standing at the baggage claim the overhead speakers come on and you hear " Will the owner of the handgun on Delta flight XXX please see the Delta Baggage Representative to claim your gun." The look on my mothers face was...

Check this out!
This is a moot point now since my TX CHL was issued yesterday and I'm just waiting on the mailman. But, I emailed the Virginia Department of State Police. Informed them that I had moved to Texas and, would like to modify my CHL from a resident permit to a non-resident permit and what do I need to do...

Pack my bags, I'm Gone
I didn't think anything would happen today because of the holiday but, I checked the web site at 8 this morning and got "application processing". Checked the web site 5 minutes ago and "application completed-certificate issued." A miracle!
