Re: Mounting Holster in car

Mounting a holster to the front side of the drivers seat, directly under the right thigh seems as though it would be the fastest and easiest access to the pistol in an emergency. Directly under your right leg seems rife with potential movement issues to me. If you're vehicle is a standard, under yo...

Re: Mounting Holster in car

Mounting a holster to the front side of the drivers seat, directly under the right thigh seems as though it would be the fastest and easiest access to the pistol in an emergency. It seems as though it would be concealed enough as not be noticeable upon casual inspection. I am currently waiting for a...

Re: Newbie question - conceal carry with no holster?

I often carry without a holster, but it is with DA or DA/SA pistols. I like the Clipdraw. It has worked well for me so far.

http://www.clipdraw.com/

It cuts down on the bulk, and it is comfortable.

Re: Anyone ever use a CPA for your taxes?

Use a CPA. I used to do my own taxes. Hours and hours worth of work, and never sure if you have it right. Then I tried H&R Block for several years. Their program is cumbersome and the staff is barely sufficiently trained. Some knew what they were doing and others, well they left me wondering if ...

Re: Electronic Fingerprinting…effective March 1st

Is an L-1 location a police station? What is it specifically?

It does seem that putting an extra step into the process does pose an inconvenience.

Re: Power issues

My power has been down twice also this morning. Now, for my soapbox. Since deregulation, there have not been any new power plants built in Texas AFAIK. There has only been companies established that broker power from existing facilities. Now with that said, there have been some generation stations, ...

Re: Obama will soon address gun-control - Chris Matthews, MS

I heard about this last night after the 'State of the Union' address. I didn't research this, but I believe this is the President's 1st public address on gun control. I believe he has stayed away from the subject (for the most part) until now. Perhaps he has become a Patron Member of the NRA, and is...

Re: John Lott - Good answers to gun-control questions

I just read the entire link. He's well spoken.

Has anyone read any of his books? Are they dry and statistical, or do they offer an apologist view against gun control?

Re: Basic Firearm Training - Houston Area

Thanks for the info. PSC Range is a little far away as we live on the NW side of town. Houston is fairly large and I should have narrowed my area a little. I will PM CompVest and see what she has to say. I just saw another post regarding this range. http://guardiandefensive.com/index.php?option=com_...

Basic Firearm Training for my wife - Houston Area

Hello all, My wife and I just got back from visiting a local gun shop, and she has expressed an interest in learning about firearm safety and handling. I would like her to have 'expert instruction', and not just the information that I could provide her with. I did a few forum searches, and I would l...

Re: Information contained on Texas Driver's License?

It was my understanding that the magnetic strip would contain your personal information (as printed on the front of the the TDL), but was mainly for information regarding organ donation in case of accident.

Good to review.

I forgot the rules and was recently slapped for 'Abbreviated profanity'. My mistake.
