Hello, welcome to the forum.
There are a few in the area. Thunder Gun Range, Gun Emporium, and Shooter's Station would fill most any shooting needs very well. Thunder, and Emporium are both outdoor ranges with pistol, rifle, and shotgun ranges. If they are will to go a touch further south Carter's Country in Spring is very similar to the ones previously mentioned. Thunder also supports IDPA.
Shooters Station in Conroe is an indoor range. Pistol or pistol caliber carbines and 25 yard maximum. They feature a pistol league that is just forming. They shoot on Wednesday nights.
All feature CHL classes although I cannot attest to thier quality as I have taken a class at either.

If they are will to drive even further south of Houston PSC is an excellent members only range, and probably one of the best ranges in the area. they offer almost any shooting discipline, comptition, and instruction.
