It was the Foley Artist brand of pistol: http://www.marblehead.net/foley/
I imagine the custom sounding gun was part of artistic license... similar to the James Bond novels with his Walther PPK in a holster for a revolver.
For reference the standard weapons for 47 include:
A pair of heavily-customized Stainless steel AMT Hardballers, dubbed Silverballers.
A customizable Walther WA2000 sniper rifle
A customizable SMG (based on an H&K MP5)
A customizable SPAS-12 automatic shotgun
A customizable M4 Carbine assault rifle
A non-metallic fiber wire garrote
Remote Undetectable-Anti Personnel (RU-AP) mines
A poison syringe
A sedative syringe

Of course I'll also have to check out Olga Kurylenko in detail again! You know, I didn't expect a lot going into Hitman, but it turned out to be better than a lot of other movies this year! I actually really liked it, I'll pick it up when it hits the good sales at blockbuster.

the sound a slide makes
I was watching the movie hitman and there is a part where 47 grabs a very nice 1911 (not his personal ones)
and racks the slide to chamber a round .
the way that gun sounded when racked was unlike any i have heard
it was very smooth and there was no clunk or thud
does anyone know what im talking about and can tell me the types of guns like that perhaps why they are that way
is it the finish or the tolerance??? or something else
i would realty like to know
it may seem stupid but i want a gun that sounds like that when the action is worked
