Re: Let's hear some updates!

Today is my 60th day anniversary since I got my PIN. Not sure why I keep checking, even after I Emailed my state Rep I'm sure it will take the whole 120 days they seem to have a loop hole for.

Guess I'll go back to work to pass the time :cryin

Re: What's a Wally Walk ??

Don't forget the route you need to take, I found a map and it will help. I can't wait to follow it myself, but I am only 60 days in to my wait.
I don't remember where I found this or I would give them credit, so if it was you then thank you,

According to the statute it is supposed to be 60 days. I heard on the news earlier this month that CHL apps are up 40% this year. Do you think it might have anything to do with 2 of the candidates for Prez? "rlol"

Careful with this one, remember you will be calling a Govt. agency.

Re: "Waiting Room"

I just heard on KLIF this morning that CHL requests are up 40% this year. They asked if it was due to new gun laws in TX or the upcoming election. I have a feeling it might be partly due to the later, I know I want to be ready if the tank of Socialism comes rolling up to McKinney!

I have never understood how someone can either shoot themselves or someone else cleaning a gun/rifle. Step #1, verify and unload!

Just be sure to not tap the magazine on your head, it looks really silly when you are not wearing a pot.

Re: Recommendation for bedside pistol safe

When I was a kid, all the guns were in an old fashioned unlocked gun cabinet. We knew better. Same here, my Brother took me out and let me shoot his shotgun once when I was a kid. seeing an antifreeze bottle go from complete to only the handle and lid in a flash will teach you they are not toys. No...

Re: Recommendation for bedside pistol safe

I just put my J frame under my pillow. The thought of that has always bothered me, what happens if you have one of those really freaky dreams and you happen to sleep on your stomach with your hands under the pillow and can feel the pistol. Did I just disclose too much info about myself :headscratch ?

Re: Recommendation for bedside pistol safe

So it would appear that the GunVault is the consensus on the board. I'll go pick one up then, I did see they have a biometric one which is kinda cool; I would hope swiping your finger wouldn't make much noise  Thanks to all. I'll be posting a question later then on how to properly introduce gun...

Re: Recommendation for bedside pistol safe

I have looked in to the Gun Vault, nice box. I guess I was just over thinking the process, and should be most concerned with keeping 1 of my 4 curious kids out of the safe; they don't know I am armed with more than a knife right now (this leads to another discussion for later). Thanks for the feedba...

Recommendation for bedside pistol safe

I am looking for a good safe for the bedside, a quite one that I can access easily without moving (to give off that I am drawing). I have seen the VersaVault and the ADG Secure Vault, among some others, and they all seem to either make some sort of noise when the buttons are pressed or the door &quo...
