Not only do we have to compete against other customers "snatching" the 22lr off the shelves... We have to compete against employees "snatching" 22lr off the truck BEFORE it even gets to the shelves. I talked to a Wal-Mart employee this morning and he said there's an investigation at this one particular Wal-Mart in San Antonio. Apparently the ammo was on the truck and it was marked as received by the store but it got "lost" somewhere between receiving and the shelf.

He said the computer says they have 22lr in inventory but it's gone. Someone should be looking at the camera at this one! I've heard other stories about employees hiding ammunition. What a shame!

I figure we should use this again since there will be a mad rush for ammo again like 2008.

Yes, ammo is much easier to find and prices are coming down... except at Gun Shows.

Which Academy?

It was the Academy on IH35 in Selma. They told me that they stock their inventory from the truck (the night before) - every Monday, Wednesday and Friday around 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. I was there at the right time...

Shopping at Academy just as they were unloading the truck. They had a case of Remington (9mm) 250 round boxes - limit was one. I was able to talk the counter guy into giving me two boxes. I walked out with 500 rounds of 9mm and a brick of Remington .22 lr (525)...it was a good day!

Maybe things are easing up in general. I was able to find ammo at both Academy and Walmart this past weekend after not finding a single round for about a month and I also notice more posts about others also finding ammo.

I guess I should keep trying....all the Wal-Marts and Academy's that I went to today were empty...
