Until you've had the experience, "almost going to jail" is most definitely not anywhere like getting put in jail.
How does he know that, you ask?

Re: Almost went to jail!!!
Golly Gee Whiz, everybody must be tired of football? Why don't we all take a break from what has become a somewhat contentious thread with no clear winner.....and just get along?
The real OC stories start next week when things return to normal and folk wear their guns to work....or not.

Re: Almost went to jail!!!
I've confessed to be being put in jail once upon a time. That was a half century ago and I learned then that following the rules was not necessarily a bad, or sissy, thing to do. I can't really speak for others.anygunanywhere wrote:How about cutting the OP some slack.
Has anyone else around here never made any mistakes?
Has anyone else around here never said something they regret?
Has anyone else ever changed their opinion? When they did were they lambasted for it?
Is calling someone a troll exhibiting a welcoming attitude?
Is any of this inviting open and honest discussion?

Re: Almost went to jail!!!
Just as we are not all schooled in the various laws, neither are the sometimes underpaid and unappreciated LEO's. Why push the envelope? Take your money and your gun where both are welcome; IOW, cease your crusade and just deal with it.IsraelisJewish wrote:They may have had an "incorrect" sign up . . . but the intent of the sign was to notify oc folk to not oc in the restaurant. If you know the businesses intent I think that means one has been notified to not oc there. I wonder what pushing the envelope will really accomplish.

While you're at it, I'd still like to know the names and locations of all the medical facilities that you say posted in anticipation of OC this weekend.howdy wrote:Can you clear up the spelling of this restaurant. Is it a Ma and Pa "Lubby's" or the Cafeteria "Luby's". You said you were there for 20 minutes and they had not cooked your food so I can only believe it is not the Cafeteria. I go to Luby's all the time and there are no signs at the two in my area.PSTL*PAKR wrote:Manager might of called the police. So they didnt bother cooking my food since they already knew police was on the way Im guessingmojo84 wrote:PSTL*PAKR wrote:They gave me no warning when I went in. You said 20 minutes later. Was the line that long? I haven't seen a line that long in Luby's in many years.

How many of us are afraid to risk the ride rather than to insist that establishments are just as responsible to follow the compliance law as we are to follow compliant notices?

I spent a few hours in the Nashville jail on a Saturday night back in '62. That experience has held me for lo these many years.
