I have had one instance so far where the LCP slipped out of my pocket and the Nemesis while I was reclining in a lazy boy. When i stood up, my pocket felt too light and I found the LCP wedged in the chair. That will not happen with the other mentioned holsters.
That guy claims it won't happen with other holsters but clearly he is inexperienced as he doesn't own those other holsters.

I guess what I'm saying is take one person's bad experience with a grain of salt.
That guy was wearing loose fitting slacks at the time. If by inexperienced, you mean no experience with the LCP and other holsters, you are correct; however, that guy has two other pocket pistols that have "other" holsters with which he has had no problems. Did i say that right? It's hard to write in the third person when speaking of oneself. ;-)

that's my plan too.

Found this on the rugerform (didn't really realize there was a ruger forum unitl i just checked). They must be shipping out boxes at this point.
BOX arrived.

The return package was in my mailbox today. It consisted of a box, padded envelope and instructions to clear the weapon, remove all add-ons, include all parts (if you removed any) except magazines.

Once everything is packaged back up, call hotline and Ruger would contact UPS for a "call pickup".

You could keep it as a car gun in your Edsel until the mailer arrives.

Re: LCP Recall

thinking about starting a poll with the following:

1. Have LCP but not participating in Recall
2. Have LCP and completed online form at Ruger.com
3. Recieved pre-paid mailer from Ruger.
4. LCP Returned.

right now, no one on this thread has indicated that they recieved the pre-paid mailer. So everyone would be a 1 or 2 in the above list. At some point 3's would hopefully ramp up and then 4's. If no three's appear by January, well... :totap: might be time for what's up Ruger call? Can the OP or a moderator add a poll to this thread?

My guess is the firing pin has enough weight to inertia-fire. Not sure how this could get past Ruger's design team?
The hammer stays in the a half cocked postion. Maybe it has enough energy if falls from a drop. I'm guessing, and this is just a guess, that they are beefing up whatever holds the hammer in the half cocked postion. Seems to me like you would want a firing pin block, but i really do not know know if the LCP has one or not. Need to look at mine really well and see.

Re: LCP Recall

mine too. Thank you for posting this. Guess i'll finally learn about shipping fire arms. Maybe i can take the box they send to academy and get them to do it. Will check with them on that.
Thank you for participating in the LCP™ recall. Your information has been received and is being processed.

The new parts are being built and we will retrofit LCP pistols on a first-come, first-served basis as soon as they are available.

When we are ready to retrofit your pistol, we will send you a shipping label and package with instructions so you can return your pistol to us FREE of charge.

Once we have received your LCP, we will install the new hammer mechanism, plus some other functional upgrades that we added since the LCP’s introduction, and return your LCP to you, all FREE of charge. When we do, we also will send you a FREE magazine with the new finger grip extension as a “thank you” for your patience and cooperation. We will make every effort to return your pistol within one week of receipt.

We want to remind gun users that, for maximum safety when carrying any pistol with a loaded magazine in place, the chamber should be empty, and the slide should be closed. Any gun may fire if dropped or struck.

Thank you,
Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc.
