Re: Had my 1st day carrying... Two words: TEXAS and AUGUST..
Under Armour fitted (not compression) moisture wicking shirts have become my best friend in this weather. I use them as undershirts and they add virtually no bulk, keep me cool, and keep the gun away from my bare skin. I was never much for undershirts when wearing Polos or the like, but now can't go...

I live alone and can't see having him crated for 14 hours while I'm gone at work, out for a few hours when I get home, back in the crate overnight, out for 30 minutes before I go to work and then back in for 14 hours until I get back from work only to repeat the cycle. Its just not right and he des...

Re: New Jersey Follows NYC with idiotic laws. Dog owners bew
All you people who agree with this law... I'm not sure anybody said they agreed with the actual law, just that it is a good idea to try to keep your dog restrained in a vehicle. I do, and that's my prerogative. But it's not my business if anyone else decides not to and I certainly don't believe any...

Re: New Jersey Follows NYC with idiotic laws. Dog owners bew
I think the law is actually for restraining dogs inside vehicles, which I'm all for, simply for the safety of you and your pet, but I think is ridiculous as far as fines are concerned. I don't know how people leave dogs in the bed of their pickup unrestrained. I'd be wigging out the whole time worry...

Bandit's six months now. Coming into his own and has started alerting very well. I'd forgotten how much safer having a dog around makes me feel.

Re: New Jersey Follows NYC with idiotic laws. Dog owners bew
I don't approve of the fines, but I actually do restrain my dog in my truck. I use a harness with a loop in the back that you can put the seat belt through. He can sit and lay down at will, but can't roam around the vehicle. I don't want him to get hurt if I have to slam on the brakes, and the thoug...

Re: Three Gun?
I've attended Mike's pistol competitions at the Cedar Ridge Range. The overall feel I got was "if you've got the guns and ammo and play safe, you're more than welcome to shoot." I see no reason the three-gun competition would be any different. When I shot my first pistol match, there were ...

Re: Fort Worth LEO Shoots and Kills Dog....at the wrong hous
Never mind that this officer can't tell the difference between a Pit and a Border Collie. That's just ridiculous. But is Fort Worth's policy such that they can just shoot Pit Bulls now? The officer said he thought the dog was a Pit, as if that was his justification for shooting it!
