Re: MSNBC poll
FYI: A few weeks later after MSNBC figured it out, pro-carry is now at 43% with anti-carry at 56%. Funny how that happened.

Re: TX CHL no longer valid in Minnesota
Texas lowered the age for military members in 2005, 10 years ago. I'm curious why MN is using that reason now for dropping Texas? My understanding from handgunlaw and another post from ammoland implies that MN changed their reciprocity criteria from "substancially similar" to just "s...

TX CHL no longer valid in Minnesota
Just posted on handgunlaw.us; TX CHL no longer valid in MN. Change made 8/12. Other states removed from MN list include MO, UT and WY. TX removed because it issues to 18 yr old military.

Re: TSRA Annual Meeting and Gunshow
Since the gun show is not being run by TSRA, neither Greybeard nor I have been contacted by the new show coordinators and weren't available to have our usual table this year. I hope to be there on Saturday to hear Greg Abbott and will go to the show afterward. I hope to see some of you there.

Re: Outdoor Range?
My wife had her license in Oklahoma, but now that I've returned her to her homeland, she'd like to get her Texas CHL. We're in Hurst, and can go pretty much anyplace in the metroplex for this, but she's not comfortable shooting at an indoor range. Any recommendations for a good class for women that...

Thanking Obama for getting Bin Laden is like thanking Ronald McDonald for making a good hamburger.

Stand-Your-Ground Question
Can someone please cite some credible articles/publications in regards to the Stand-Your-Ground laws currently in force around the country? These articles should address various state laws, such as the Castle doctrine law in Texas and other SYG laws from other states and should address both the impa...

Re: Residency
According to Handgunlaw.us, North Carolina recognizes all state issued licences. Since she maintains her Tx license and residency, she should be good to go.

We've tried year after year without success. We've never had a problem, though; the first one there should pick a table and hold it for us.LikesShinyThings wrote:Friday night at the Foundation dinner: Is anyone organizing a table together?

Re: TSRA Annual Meeting 2012
Bumping this up to the top to keep this in view til the show. So far, Keith B is the only one signed up to help at the booth. It's against the back wall at the show so there will be plenty of room to sit and visit with friends while taking a break from the show. I really need more people to help wit...

Re: received the notice
So what happens regarding the discount if I turn 60 on my next birthday, and that happens to also be the expiration date of my current license? Same with me last renewal. If you call Austin, they will check your record and send you the discounted cover application sheet to send in early and still g...

Re: How do you handle being farsighted?
Got my glasses made so my strong dominant eye is focused on my front sight and my weak eye is corrected for distance. You might try going to a store that sells a lot of reading glasses (Wallyworld) and buy some weak corrective stick-on plastic lenses and put one on your dominant side only to bring y...

Crystal at TSRA says she has TexasCHLForum table locked in at #326, next to a wall supposedly with more room in front area for visitin. DCSA table next door at #325. I may pop for some electricity to be able to kee...
