In my neck of the woods, it's all over the media that "law enforcement" is the main driver behind killing licensed open carry. A headline here -- Police chiefs: Open carry 'handcuffs' law enforcement
Mr. Cotton seems to be on the right track. When the amendment to limit stops by LEO's to check open carriers for CHL's for no reason, other than checking, was added to the bill, the LEO community got their feelings hurt. Never mind the 4th amendment, papers please.
What Lib LEO's, politicians, and others and don't get is they receive consent to govern from US. Not the other way around.
Blame the one's who put in the amendment all you want, they were trying to improve the bill. The OCT guys are morons, knuckle heads, but the LEO's are the ones whining the most if you ask me.
