Keep right unless passing. If you are passing in the left lane and somebody else is trying to pass faster (that is, pass you), work it out being courteous and polite. Maybe he waits. Maybe you wait. Whatever. Be courteous and polite and safe and everybody be careful out there and everybody get to where they are going in one piece. That's been working for me for years.

Now, if you are just driving in the left lane, not passing anybody, well that's a different story.
