I don't know anything about this person's service. However, having be involved in court issues and knowing friends who have as well, I'd like to offer you this past history.

All lawyers are not equal and a bad lawyer can actually do a lot of damage to your case (sometimes the starting point of a case is very important). Flat fee lawyers are probably the worst (from my own experience and observations of friends' experiences); they seem to just want to get the case done with no matter the outcome. You should really interview any potential lawyer and check out what their performance in similar cases were. A lawyer local to the area has plus and minus depending on your case and may not be the best to hire, e.g. knowing the judge's past history/personality/golf is good, not wanting to push the opposing side very hard (business goes around and a local guy may not want to burn any bridges) isn't, etc.

I'd personally be a bit scared to use a pre-paid law service for something this important. I think pre-paid service is great for some realestate/rental issues, wills/trusts, traffic tickets, etc. But if I'm facing possible murder charges, I'd pay to get the best I can afford; just MHO.
