Re: DPS Processing Times
DaveT wrote:My CHL is not due for renewal until April of next year. With everything I have been reading about delays, I sent DPS a very friendly e-mail asking when I should start the processing times because I know they have been swamped.
It took 3 weeks to get a reply from the e-mail.
In one sentence, the reply read: "Allow 180 days for processing."
That is seriously wrong in so many ways. It doesn't matter how busy they are. Six months to process a CHL application is unacceptable.

Re: DPS Processing Times
If it were me, I would submit the "fast" prints. There is a horror story in the forum from a poster who said his wife had prints rejected 3 or 4 times.clamenza wrote:just recieved a notice from the state. they said my finger prints did not meet minimum requirements? went back to the gun range this morning and did my "re do" print card. question, should i submit a fast set of prints or just chance it again with standard print card?

Re: DPS Processing Times
The all caps email again. At first I thought the person sending the email was doing that on purpose to simulate what it would be like talking to them in person. Everyone knows the type...loud, rude...arrogant. Basic attitude of entitlement. The usual government employee type. Now I am beginning to think more along the lines of, so ignorant as to not know when to capitalize a word. This actually explains the delays in entering data to the system quite well. Could also be older software being used. DOS would call for cap locks on. In any case...little miss cap locks isn't representing herself very well to the public.
