No problemo... consider your post totally disregarded. Not that I believe you are one of them but, I believe the reality is, there are folks who want to hate Bush so bad they would believe anything they hear that disparages him. Truth has no weight in it all. Just state anything negative about bush and poof... Odumbell becomes less of an embecile.handog wrote:Thank you for sharing the quote. Re: Kudos to President Obama
This comment alone leads me to believe you may not know the difference in common sense and book smart yourself. Yes.... that is exactly what I believe. George Bush was not an intellectual like Obama or the usual college grad, but he does have common sense. Odumbell has zero common sense.idrathernot wrote: Additionally, do you honestly believe that Obama is "the dumbest person on the planet when it comes to common sense"? Do you really think people can be elected POTUS without any "common sense"? He knows exactly what he is doing and has been planning it for quite some time, every piece of legislation that he signs is methodical and deliberate.
I do however aggree that having every black in America vote for you based on your color doesn't hurt one bit. This thread is beginning to bore me... sorry.... too tired to look up any big impressive words that describe how I feel about that human trash receptical. Just take my word for it when I say. I won't misss him when he is sent packing into the history books in the same chapter as Jimmy Carter. Hopefully the conservatives have a real conservative to run against that socialist piece of garbage.

Re: Kudos to President Obama
I was thinking the same thing. Surely this country won't have enough ignorant 18-21 year old retards left who haven't figured out the O is a socialist to vote his sorry butt back into office again. I realize it was cool voting for a rap star the first time, surely this same bunch will be hitting the work force by then and realize what Odumbell means by change.... as in.... only some change left in your pocket when he is done giving away the rest of your money to those that don't want to work for a living.TEX wrote:Odumbell, although evil, is not stupid. Odumbell has what is known as book smarts. He is the dumbest person on the planet when it comes to common sense. I am truly ashamed to call him our president. this has been a very dark period in our history indeed.

Re: Kudos to President Obama
Yep... with Odumbells every word he proves himself to be anti-success, pro-distribution. That man has proved himself to be nothing short of a threat to the American way of life. Fortunately.... maybe I should say hopefully.... we will tame some of his more radical desires in November of this year.MadMonkey wrote:....yeah.PSLOwner wrote:And, for the record, Obama is not a socialist, communist, fascist or whatever label is being applied to him by talk radio nation.
Like when he says "At some point I do believe you've made enough money"...
I hate when guys I have on ignore get quoted and I have to read what they say. It creates desires to say things that will get me in trouble with the mods. I believe there are liberals that only own guns because they are scared and their deepest desire to eliminate all firearms has yet to happen. So they calm their fears by giving in and begrudgingly purchase a firearm. Then they hope and pray we get an anti-gun President that can make the world safe for all man kind. Well this is your guy liberals, but he has other wealth distribution schemes that rate higher on his agenda than gun control. Maybe you will get your wishes fulfilled if he gets a second term, which he won't, and you can finally relieve yourself of that gun you deeply regret having to own but are just too darned afraid to get rid of. What I don't fully understand is how they end up hanging out on forums that typically have conservative values and a love for the American way of life.
Yet another perfect example Fangs. Unfortunately, liberals will act like they don't notice this. there is nothing harder for a person who voted based on cool factor than to be forced to admit they made one very huge mistake. Even ole PSLowner claimed long ago he didn't know anything about Odumbells anti-gun agenda.Fangs wrote:Socialist - a political advocate of socialism

As always, I'm not trying to be mean, that's just how I see it, and I am open to other points of view.

Re: Kudos to President Obama
It took a lot more than two years for the sub prime lending to rear it's ugly head. Check this out for a history lesson. It goes back to who I am sure was your first favorite liberal President.marksiwel wrote:So okay 2 years of Democrat Congress, so they only had 8 years where the could have passed ANYTHING they wanted, had the Supreme Court hold it up if needed, and have the White House back it.
Mostly the problem with the Bush whitehouse when it came to Economics is they wouldnt face reality. People were kicked out for suggesting the Iraq war would cost too much (And even then the numbers they gave were way to low!) Paul O'Niell was kicked out for warning people about deficits. Yeah part of the problem was the Democrat led Housing Bust, but lets not forget the Massive debt Bush put us in, and the Bailouts he signed before leaving.
The Iraq War was led badly, we should have sent more people in, we did NOTHING when they started Looting in the streets, we had no after action plans. It was a mess. Compound that with False intelligence, over-eagerness, the poor treatment of allies, it was a farce that cost too many people their lives.
Obama got elected because 1. He was Black 2. People were sick of the mess we had gotten in over the last 8 years 3. Sarah Palin.
Bush/Obama its more of the same with a different Mask on

Re: Kudos to President Obama
I say that the last two years of the Bush Presidency were run by democrats in congress, not Republicans. i say that the financial implosion was a direct result of Democrat imposed legislation attempting to make housing easier to access for minorities. Dropping lending standards and even putting pressure on lenders to make mortgage money more available to low income minorities created the environment that instigated the bad loans to begin with. Maxine Waters and Barney Franks both claimed everything was Okey Dokie just two years before the collapse. Nope... it was good intentions as usual... mostly inspired by Clinton.Oldgringo wrote:For those old enough to remember, or smart enough to recognize; it was the un-declared and uncalled for war in Iraq along with the Republican's failure to address domestic issues; e.g., the failing economy, Social Security, Medicare, Health Care, RKBA, bank and mortgage company failures, etc. ad nauseum, that got Obama elected.
What say you that?
Lets us also not forget that before we went into Iraq, Many of these same sewage swilling democrats that hurl accusations at Bush stood up in congress and stated emphatically that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. They were operating off the same information Bush had.
The real reason Odumbell got elected is that Odumbell was framed as the young hip rap star and McCain was framed as needing pampers. It was cool to vote Obama at the time. Most of the folks who voted for Odumbell don't have a clue about what is going on in the world and have gone back to not having a clue.

And THIS below is only up until 2004.
* 1994 to 2001 – Obama was on the board of the anti-gun Joyce Foundation. This foundation is the largest funding source for radical anti-gun groups in the country.
* 1996 – Obama supported a ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns.
* 1999 – Obama proposed a 500 percent increase in the excise taxes on firearms and ammunition. This tax would effectively punish gun owners for buying guns and ammunition.
* 2003 – Obama voted in support of legislation that would have banned privately owned hunting shotguns, target rifles and black powder rifles in Illinois.
* 2004 – Obama voted against legislation intended to protect homeowners from prosecution in cases where they used a firearm to halt a home invasion.
Yikes....... those are some pretty disappointing facts, to put it mildly. Thanks for posting them. I just prefer discussing things when I see the facts rather than emotions when discussing political issues.
So, is the plan for the NRA and other lobby groups to keep the status quo and hope for a different party in the next election? Since party control of the house and senate ebb and flow with each election, I doubt that the democrats will have a "filibuster" proof majority.

I think I am glad the saying, "cannot put toothpaste back in the tube" probably protects our gun rights more than any politician, right or left wing. Probably explains why ammo and guns are so hard to find on the story shelves. Once they are in our hand, there is no way they can get them back.

Re: Kudos to President Obama
He had no choice in that one. it was attached to the credit card reform bill, so he would have had to shoot himself in the foot to keep it from happening. The only reason he hasn't attacked gun rights yet is that he has been busy trying to destroy the country with government take over of health care. After he has completed that mission, he will come for the guns. If you can really read that link I sent you and still think this socialist president is not going to make a grab for your guns, you are sadly mistaken.PSLOwner wrote: If he was really intent on banning hand guns (which he could never do), why sign that bill. He is a democrat and they dont have the best history on gun rights (to put it mildly!), so we have to be aware, but I think we can do it with resorting to rumors.

Good thing about elections every four years, if you dont like what you see...... do something about it.
Hey, its ok. I voted for McCain. And I held my dang nose while doing it. Most of us did. McCain's a fine man. A war hero even. Generally, I like the man. I love his opinion on right to life, his service... I dislike his infidelity, gun show loop holes, and despicable opinion on the borders. But...we all make mistakes. Odds are, and your profile shows nada, that you are under 30, and maybe you got swept in to the hype. No ones perfect.
