Yes but the plea deals make her conviction rate look a lot better and I will be willing to bet she uses that in her next election.
Reading the article it appears Houston has strayed far from the reason for the implementation of the deferred option. It reads like they are using it to clear an overload of criminal case load. It appears they are rubber stamping deferred cases with no real consideration as to the crime committed. I am sure it was not the original intention of deferred to simply ease case loads.
