Congrats!!!

Return to “April Applications”
My wife is still waiting on hers. She just got her PIN 2 weeks ago. We both sent off our apps on 4/17 and both money orders cleared on 4/28. I got my license on 8/2. It's really irritating, too, because her background check should be very short, since she's only lived and worked in 2 counties, and I had to list over 15 (including those same 2).The_Vigilante wrote:RichardJ,
Congrats after a long wait. You may be the last April applicant to receive his/her license. Are there any others still waiting from April?
My wife just got her PIN 2 days ago on day 121. I got my PIN on day 91, and my plastic on day 103, but we shipped them on the same day, and she had fewer addresses and employers to list. It just doesn't make any sense.ABN556 wrote:Are there any April applicants left still waiting or am I the last one??
Opposite day strikes again.ericsu19 wrote:Had a conversation yesterday with DPS and all my back ground check was good, I am leaving for florida aon the 31st so I called this morning and they told me all the background was not back figure that one out,
Well, as far as I know, they haven't finished mine or my wife's (both received 4/22).ericsu19 wrote:It all depends on who you talk to at DPS I have a buddy who called and they said thay have finnished April and working on May. Good luck to all
See Keith's post right above yours. It's very common to check instructor instead of the right box. Look on the bright side though, at least you have a pin.ranger's wife wrote:Has anyone received this error message when they try to check their status?
The data you have submitted does not match what is in our records. Please verify the data submitted is correct. If you still cannot proceed, please contact DPS at 1-800-224-5744 or email chl@txdps.state.tx.us for more information.
I have checked and doubled checked the info I put in and I still get this message.
Thanks
Did you try your senator and the governor's office? I got a letter in the mail from Gov. Perry's office very quickly, followed by a phone call from DPS. Which rep is ignoring you?vscott wrote:Tried that twice, he didn't even reply.killerfly128 wrote: call your rep and you might get it faster.
My wife and I were on almost the exact same timeline as you, up until the PIN part. Still haven't received ours, but maybe we're about to get good news anyway. Congrats!!pedalman wrote:Well, this April applicant just received good news. The signature block says it all.
I'd say write whenever you feel you need to. I'm going to get into the practice of writing more often, since it seemed to work for my grandfather while he was alive. You don't have to ask for special treatment, if you're worried about the ethics of it. Just politely inform them of your concern and ask that they devote some attention to everyone who is having to wait too long, whether now or in the next session. That's what I did, and I'm not expecting any personal attention, but I wouldn't turn it down. This way, I think it sounds more like "concerned citizen" rather than "whiney voter."baseballguy2001 wrote:I was reading some of the stories from the boys in the 'March Applications' room -- some had 90+ day waits. A few had written to their reps in Austin. How many days is a 'good' time to write? I'm at just over 60 days since my application was received in Austin.
