Yeah, that is 76 days, was using 30 day month for base. Nice call. Hope those folks in April/May get theirs soon. I still don't understand the order here. I didn't check it yesterday. I checked it Tues. and it was still in processing. I haven't checked the web much, probably once a week or so. Just been hanging out in here seeing when people started getting theirs.artificialgrey wrote:Congrats!texaschl14 wrote:So long folks.....74 days and Application Completed - license issued or certificate active
6/6....Application rec'd in Austin
8/21 ... Application Completed
Isn't that actually 76 days? Don't mean to split hairs, but you're upsetting the people still waiting in the April and May threads
Odd question for you - did you check your status yesterday? If so, was it still at "Processing Application"? Reason I ask is cause I've noticed a trend of Wednesdays being the day of the week most people go active (Application Completed - etc). They only send out the online app paperwork on Thursdays, so it's not a stretch to think that they also have a system for updating the status page.

Re: June Applicants
I'm about the same time line as you. What counties did you report residence/work on your app?Wally45 wrote:Only a couple of weeks left to receive the plastic - this popped up on the DPs Website today....Application Completed - license issued or certificate active!!!

Re: June Applicants
Its going to take more than that, I think, to change gun laws. I think folks are just concerned about the "uncertainty" of our country at the moment.

Re: June Applicants
First off, I somewhat agree with you. There seems to be a disconnect somewhere. On the other hand, I would much rather they do a thorough check on each applicant. We don't want to ruin what we have going here by rubber stamping. You would think they knew there would be interest in this and would have staffed accordingly.CainA wrote:I haven't even taken my CHL class yet(scheduled for the 27th) and I'm already getting discouraged. What a crock in Austin.

Re: June Applicants
Awesome! That is good news. Congrats!
May I ask how many counties you listed as place of residence on the application? I've lived in Lubbock, Wichita and Collin. Wondering if that is going to slow down processing.

Re: June Applicants
Are you counting the day Austin rec'd your app? If that is the case I'm on day 61, no plastic yet. Has anyone in here rec'd their license yet?texasccw wrote:Well according to my calculations I should be at 60 days on August the 23rd. I will be giving them a call later this coming week to check on the status. Hopefully at least get a status on my PIN.
