Re: Moving to Katy -ish
Look at Cinco Ranch. Katy school district. From what I am told by relatives that live near Hwy 99 and the Beltway, the area is quiet. Others views may differ.

Magazine for Star Firestar Pistol
Looking for a magazine for the Star Firestar Pistol in 9mm. I am aware that the pistol is no longer manufactured. The gun shops in my area do not know what substitute to offer me. Any ideas?

My understanding is that the liquor license must be "In a Prominent" place, and therefore, the color and 51% (if applicable) would be obvious. Also, if one was arrested, it would be best if the arresting officer "observes" the license and indicates in the report the liquor licens...

Re: Stopped by Louisiana State Police
If I recall, in the state of Louisiana, it is unlawful to pass an emergency vehicle (while emergency lights are flashing) while in the performance of their duties. I leaned that once when stopped by a LA trooper who stated that I should have stopped on the right side of the road (break down lane) un...

Depending on the cost of repair of your vehicle, hope the responding agency files, Criminal Mischief. With the right amount, the Criminal Mischief is a Felony vs the Burglary Motor Vehicle (BMV) being a Misdemeanor.

Re: Question about showing receipts in Texas
Receipt checking a "marking" curtails shoplifting. The "slows" the leaving with an unmarked receipt, and then returning to the store for "a free second same-item". When this occurs, the customer can return one item (in short, receive their money back) and keep the extra.

One of the reason for the fingerprint requirement is to "verify" the person does not have a disqualifying arrest or criminal charge. If the name and social security was the only identification needed to access the person's criminal record, this can be defeated easily. The applicant can app...

In my opinion, it would be considered a gift, unless: (1) One of them admits it was a loan; or (2) On the check is written "Loan". And, subject to being corrected: The parents of the grandchildren can deny you visitation. Texas does not provide any "rights as grandparent" to visi...

Re: Accidental Discharge in Houston Restaurant
There was a LEO I worked with, who shot himself twice in the matter of a few minutes. Seems he had a .25cal auto in his back pocket. He sat down and it was not comfortable. So, he "adjusted" the weapon and shot himself in the rear This caused him to remove himself to the restroom to "...

Now now, a LEO is allowed to use their emergency equipment to respond to a crime. It's a crime (ha ha) to arrive late to the station to go home.

Depending on how much money the stuff was worth, sounds like a small claims issue. More civil than criminal.
Explain the situation to a judge. If, any action is taken.
Just my thought
