This is a good bill that will get us an inch closer to workplace carry. Since I ride my bicycle to work nearly every day, it doesn't help me much. I think a bill that looks just like this but doesn't say anything about parking lots but simply says "premises" or "property" instead would be ideal. That's what we need eventually (gets us the rest of the way). Either the employer must allow us to carry on our persons while on their property, or they must provide a weapons locker.

There are a lot of days when I am on my bicycle and wouldn't mind having a gun with me. It's a 40-minute trip each way and you are a whole lot more vulnerable on a bicycle than you are in a car, especially when it comes to street-corner thugs.

Kudos for this bill. Its passage is a first down in this fight. The goal line is workplace carry. Let's keep moving the ball.
