Thx guys. Believe I will give them a try. At least on my bulk loaded stuff like pistol. Stick with what my load is worked up with for my rifle/hunting loads. Have a good one.

Re: Powder and primers
Thx for the welcome. Let me see what unc thinks and I'll get back with ya. I just checked Powder Valley. They will send up to 48 lbs combined primer/powder for one $20 hazmat fee plus shipping. CCI primers were about the same as local....Wolf was cheaper but on powder....they were 7-12 bucks PER pound cheaper across the board than what we have been paying locally. By the time you knock off sales tax, I'm betting 3 of us can order enough to save some money, especially if you load enough to pick up 8 pounders of a couple of your favorite powders. I will go ahead and send in the required paperwork to them to be able to order if we decide to. Meantime, check them out and see what you think. Just sent me private message if u like and we can trade cell numbers if you want to pursue it. Greg

Re: Powder and primers
Hey folks. I know this thread is a few months old.....hope a few still follow the "old threads" Anyway, I will check out Powder Valley. Meantime.....has anyone used these Wolf primers? Normally use CCI but man....they are like almost 25 or 30 bucks per thousand here locally now. I quit ordering via mail with the advent of HAZMAT fees. At the time it eliminated the savings but with the cost of powder and primers now it almost makes reloading pistol not worth it over just buying Wolf rounds for plinking from ammo-man or aim. Same with cost of good old hard lead slugs. Any other reloaders here in Odessa that might be interested in combining some orders with my uncle and I and see if we can get the prices down? Well, as usuall....got off the subject a little.....how did the Wolf primers shoot? Honestly didn't ever realize they sold primers. Have a great weekend.
