Re: Cheaper than dirt price gouging

What CTD did after Sandy Hook was worse than price gouging. They had completed sales that occurred before the incident that they had not shipped yet. They cancelled those sales and refunded the money. They marked up the items and resold them at the higher price. That to me is unconscionable. If you ...

Re: Walked into Collectors Firearms in Houston...

I bought an AAC Ti-Rant 45 from them earlier this year. Searched all over trying to find someone who'd beat their price. Everyone else wanted MSRP. Some even wanted an additional fee for filling out the necessary paper work on top of MSRP. I had been on the fence for over a year and the pricing neve...

Re: Pink Furniture?

Pink was available in a very limited run. Good luck finding it and it will cost a bit when you do. Another way to get pink Magpul furniture is to dye it. The tan Magpul furniture is very useful for this. Just get some Rit dye of a color that she likes. Follow the directions for stove top and dunk th...

Re: Colorado vacation

We're heading up to Estes Park in mid June and staying in Rocky Mountain National Park from June 17-24. Any bits of advise or places to see in the area? Mostly doing a bit of hiking and a whole lot of camping and relaxing. Will have young children with us if that matters.

I'll be there. Might even drag along a rifle or two I don't shoot anymore. Can't beat it for a day of entertainment. People watching and haggling can be quite fun.

Re: BAD gun buying experience

The biggest gripe I have with Academy is that they will absolutely not sell certain models of rifles to anyone under the age of 21. Why? This isn't law, it's their policy. When they are shown what the law actually says, they refuse to budge. I'm over 21 and this policy does not affect me, I just can...

I just loved the argument that since 4 presidents have been assassinated that we shouldn't be allowed our 2nd amendment rights.

Re: A Certain Sporting Goods Store.....and not happy!

I've got another reason I don't buy at Academy. It seems that they won't sell certain long guns to anyone under 21 years of age. When questioned about it, the manager tried to tell me that it was federal law. I call her on it and explained the laws. Told her if the company policy doesn't change, I w...

Re: Sig P220 .45 help

There are many variant of the Sig P220. We'd need a bit more info then the serial number to tell you which one you have. Don't play the head game of did you pay to much though, you'll just get buyer's remorse. Go out and shoot the pistol. I'll bet you'll like it. Besides, if you shoot enough the pis...

Re: Metal Detectors in the Capitol

I went into the capital building a couple of weeks ago (June 18) with my wife and 3 daughters. Wife hadn't received her license yet so she went through the metal detectors with the oldest daughter (6). I took the baby (8 months) and the middle daughter (3 years) through the CHL line in the stroller....

Re: revolver question

I would unload the pistol and keep the ammo in another room just to be safe. Then practice your draw to your hearts content. You could even practice drawing and cocking it if you wanted to then.

Re: WTB .22 Rifle

It's not mine, but it is in your price range. It's a .17 HMR and not .22LR but it should meet your accurate and varmint rifle needs. Take a look here.

Most of what I have you'd have to drill and tap for a scope. Don't know that you'd want to use irons for a varmint gun.

Re: WTB .22 Rifle

What you looking for? Bolt, lever,semi-auto, single shot? Old, newer? Looking for something for a youth or yourself? There are a lot of 22 rifles out there might help to narrow it down a bit. I've got a few I've decided to sell to get something else. Might have something for you.

I've been wanting a .44 mag in a lever action for a while now. You are very lucky to have such a nice example.
