True, but they did so to recommend against it. See the recommendation section of their Ivermectin page here.philip964 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 11:24 pm https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines. ... l-therapy/

Because the current CDC protocol is not to test vaccinated people with covid symptoms unless they're hospitalized. Purpose: to keep down the numbers of cases among the vaccinated to make it look like only the unvaccinated are coming down with the virus.

It's always less painful to learn from the experience of others than it is to learn from one's own experience, keeping in mind that experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 5:41 pmThere is some importance to the US WRT the worldwide numbers, and also the numbers in specific countries.
One of the reasons the foreign and global numbers are important is that they have some predictive values for us. For instance, China just acknowledged earlier today (https://news.trust.org/item/20200404235657-jkjit) that they are experiencing a resurgence of new cases, after having previously claimed that they had beaten the pandemic in their country. Does that mean that WE may see a resurgence in numbers of cases after a respite? Either way, it’s a question worth investigating, just to be safe.
Another reason foreign numbers are important is that pandemics can be precursors for economic collapse, civil unrest, revolutions, and other catastrophic political changes around the world. And as much as we’d like to think that we are immune from the effects of these things, in a global economy, we aren’t. In fact, IF the pandemic's impact in our own country were bad enough, those things could happen here.....although I am hopeful that they would not.
Anyway, my point is that, on some levels, the COVID-19 statistics abroad may well have some kind of significance here at home.
Just a thought...

Italy is preparing to implement disaster procedures and allocate ICU resources to patients based on age to try to save those most likely to survive.
Those with serious disease and above whatever age threshold they use will be on their own:

This is what medical professionals must default to when overwhelming need collides with limited resources. It's called triage.
If we are not successful at flattening the curve in the US soon, you're likely to see that implemented here.

That's exactly what I'm doing.03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 12:57 pmIf it worries you as much as your posts indicate, you should definitely stay at home. That is about the only "sure" way of avoiding it. While I agree with you that Cuomo is dishonest and not to be trusted, I read his action here differently. Closing that many businesses and interfering with that many jobs and lives is a very unpopular thing to do. My read is that he is truly scared about where COVID19 is going in his state.03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 3:00 amI absolutely do. One of the most dishonest manipulating lowlifes of all the DemonRats. The guy is after his cut of that 8 billion dollars. That guy is grand standing for sure. Another serious over reaction.Excaliber wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 6:19 pm Does anyone seriously think that the governor of New York is deploying the national guard to close all schools, shops, and churches in a one mile containment area in New Rochelle (just north of New York City) to prevent people from catching a cold?

We'll soon have more insight into which interpretation is closer to the truth.

New advisory from the CDC:
If you're over 60 or have an underlying health condition, stock up on what you'll need for an undefined period of time and don't go out.
Article here
I don't remember them saying that about the seasonal flu.

North Korea is lying foreign diplomats out of the country and there are reports of hundreds of deaths among soldiers who are not elderly or infirm.
This is clearly a big deal, and in a few weeks that fact won't be able to be denied here in the US either.
In 3 - 4 weeks we won't be guessing any more.

IF the numbers and severity reports we're hearing now were true, I would agree with you.03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 12:13 am Coronavirus is not even close to seasonal flu. The only thing about it that will far exceed the seasonal flu is the ridiculous hyping of it by the MSM. First we had Russia Russia Russia, next was fake impeachment. Now we have an over hyped virus. It is all part of the efforts of the deep state to remove President Trump. This one will fail like the other two efforts. That is why you must use common sense. The flu kills 291K-646K world wide per year. Coronavirus... 3995. Hardly a threat to humanity. Cancer and heart disease takes out more people.
However, I have serious doubts about both of those. China would not have shut down their industrial production and devastated their economy for somewhere around 3K deaths - that's a number they'd hardly notice.
I also saw videos from Chinese medics and citizens of young people dropping dead in the streets, doctors collapsing in hospitals, and stacks of corpses in a single clocation that far exceeded the daily death count they fed to the public before those citizen communications were stomped on.
I don't think Italy is imposing quarantine on their whole country because a few hundred folks have the sniffles either.
I see a much more significant threat here than the "don't worry" line we're being fed would indicate.

Re: Corona Virus (2019-nCoV) from China: Its going to be bad.
While numbers from governments that lie all the time and hide bad news are all over the place, it's noteworthy that China shut down a huge portion of their economically critical industrial base for over a month and has been incinerating far more bodies than the deaths they've been reporting. It's also noteworthy that medical personnel are wearing high level biohazard suits while treating patients. They don't do that for our seasonal flu.mrvmax wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 2:04 pmWhat is funny is that people allow the media hype to motivate them. I’m not telling anybody to not prepare, I’m telling people they are allowing hysteria to drive their actions. The facts is that your chances of getting this are low, but unless you have a weakened immune system you’ll most likely survive it if you do get it - just like when people get the flu. If you want to prepare so that you don’t get this then stay away from people that have it and wash your hands. It’s crazy that this has been blown out of proportion enough to drive the stock market down and to send the price of N95 masks (which probably won’t prevent most people from getting it anyway) skyrocketing. What’s really making this worse is overreacting to it.

I agree that panic is both unwarranted and unhelpful. However, preparedness to remain isolated from the public for up to 90 days in the event the virus hits hard in your area would be a really good idea - sorta like carrying a gun in case you might need it.
