Believe me, rational thinking was not her thing...I said what is there to believe in? Guns exist, I mean it's here in my holster made out of plastic and steel! She then said that only the police and army (yep she said army ) should have guns. So in her world the gov and the criminals would be the only ones armed , the two groups of people we trust the most, eh? . Anyway, I think Freud had it right: "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity". On a side note that's just about the only thing Freud ever said that I agree with.VoiceofReason wrote:Sounds like a good decision.flynbenny wrote:A person's choice of firearm (or lack thereof) says a lot about them. Never been found out by a business, did have a date repulsed by it though ("I don't believe in guns" quoth she) but she voted for the current prez so I bid her adieu.
Help me out here. I am having a little problem understanding the term "I don't believe in guns". What’s to “believe in”?
I don’t “believe in” crime, but I accept the fact that criminals exist and choose to be prepared for an unpleasant encounter with one.
Current GF is normal, she does believe in guns . Hasn't shot yet, but when my U22 comes from repair back I'm going to take her to the range. fire
