Wow, I actually read that Senate report and cannot believe that everything I was taught since childhood and in the military was actually an advisory and not code. Call me embarrassed.
Please put me on this guys jury if he ever gets charged. I will not convict him. I might hand him a plaque.

Unlike others I did not serve to defend a flag or any other piece of cloth. I served to protect our home, lives and countryman who are bound together by a system of laws.
I am an American who believes in the written law and in property rights. I think that guy is a criminal and should be in Jail. Our feelings do not give us the rights beyond the law.
I pose a question. If this incident happened in Texas Would the property owner have the right to use deadly force? Would the time of day make a difference?
