Re: Any PC gamers here?
I think I am on Mission 24 of 26, defending the Artifact thingie from the Zerg.
As stated previously the dialog and storyline annoy me. But I have to admit that the scenarios themselves are pretty innovative and keep your interest. I played till 10:30 last night, and that is waaaay past my bedtime.

I let my WoW account expire after playing it since its inception. Finally tired of it with numerous level 80 toons.lkd wrote:The storyline is about Kerrigan's redemption, but I agree that the game really feels more like a modernized version of the same thing. However, I'd say that was the game's appeal. All I know is that I get my butt kicked every time I try to play against other peoplePurplehood wrote: Hopefully the rest of the campaign will pleasantly surprise me. So far, it is simply part 2 of the original game.![]()
To address the thread topic: As a guy that has worked on the Microsoft Xbox team and now at NVIDIA, it's safe to say I'm a hardcore gamer, even as I near my AARP membership age![]()
I can be found on Xbox Live and most multiplayer PC games as LetsKillDave. I (shamefully) have far too many WOW toons, so if you need to know that, just send me a PM.

I played the original Starcraft online and offline. Never reached the crazy skill-levels of some of the folks that you see on BattleNet.74novaman wrote:Bump for Starcraft 2.
If anyone would like to play, PM me your Battlenet info.
I have been playing Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty for a few days now. So far (still on single player campaign) it looks like all the years of "development" have produced an exact clone of the original game with new gimmicks.
The story line is abysmal and aimed towards pre-teens, with convicts walking out of prison-cells with lit-cigars and then being "imprisoned" in Armored Combat Suits. The main protaganists appear to be a Cowboy Marshal and a Biker. Go figure.
Hopefully the rest of the campaign will pleasantly surprise me. So far, it is simply part 2 of the original game.

strategics. the science or art of combining and employing the means of war in planning and directing large military movements and operations.

I prefer Gary Gygax World at War, and stuff along those lines. Those are strategy games.

Giving my age away...
My first computer was a Timex Sinclair (can't remember the number). You plugged a cassette deck to it and used the TV as a monitor. You then had to type in your commands in Basic. Then the Commodore 64 came out and I was in heaven.

Re: Any PC gamers here?
Kids freak-out when they realize I too am a PC Gamer at 50 years of age (among other hobbies). What they don't realize is that it is the older folks of my generation that started gaming on table-tops and worked towards the eventual day that computers could eliminate alot of the "paperwork" and time involved in the more intricate game systems.
Now that day is here and far exceeds what we looked forward to.
