But if were Glock were "all that" there would have been no need to continue to develop generations after the first gen. We're on the 4th gen already.03Lightningrocks wrote:I just want to throw in here that if the 1911 were truly "all that", there would have been no need to continue to develop firearms beyond it. There must have been something about the 1911 that needed worked on.... thus... we have the totally improved version after years of changes and development... The Glock was born! Perfection in a firearm has now been achieved.

Re: Glock Haters?
I'm not a Glock fanboy but I do love my Glocks. Not because of looks, ergonomics, etc. Because I'll be the first to agree that they're not pretty and the 1st - 3rd generations are not the most comfortable in the hand. I buy Glock for:
1) Reliability - how many Glock torture tests are out there now? probably about 10,000 by now. how many LEO agencies across the world are using Glock?
2) Accuracy - how many people shoot competitively with Glock? probably the most used plastic gun in competitions.
3) Magazine availability/compatibilty - Glock mags are everywhere, they're reasonably priced, and they work. not to mention they're compatible across guns. what other gun can i purchase a $10 mag for that holds 33rds and works in 5 different handgun models?

Re: Glock Haters?
When the zombies attack I'll probably grab my Glocks. No time to mess with my 1911's or other semis. Could care less what the grip feels like when a zombie is in my face.
Seriously though, I think Glock haters will have a hard time hating the 4th gen. My G22 G4 doesn't feel like your typical Block.
