Re: Jones Hall CHL ?

I have been through IAH several times with a gun and have never seen any signage.

For the OP. Jones hall is not posted (not that it would be valid), so no problem.

Re: AR Trigger recommendations

I have a Jewel two stage match trigger that I am very happy with. The only downfall is that it doesn't work with the 22 conversion.

Re: CHL Class - Their Gun or Mine?

I took my class at College of the Mainland. Lem is a great instructor in my book. I brought my own P95 and did not have any problems; they let me use their ammo since they use leadless. The biggest concern I would have is to have three mags (they happened to have a third one for me to use). The firi...

Re: Austin Gun Show Troubles?

There was a lot of traffic in the forum about the same time I posed a question - maybe it was overlooked, maybe it was a dumb question, either way, any comments are appreciated. Were the Saxet and Texas Gun shows both held and the same HEB location? If they were then Austin's analogy works. However...

Re: Austin Gun Show Troubles?

Were the Saxet and Texas Gun shows both held and the same HEB location? If they were then Austin's analogy works. However, if not then I would amend his analogy to be a different hotel entirely where the illegal or questionable activities took place. For my clarification, is it illegal for me, a pr...

Re: TAKE ACTION RE:TEXAS GUN SHOW matter

Here is the part of the code that I believe APD is violating: LGC 229.001. FIREARMS; EXPLOSIVES. (a) A municipality may not adopt regulations relating to the transfer, private ownership, keeping, transportation, licensing, or registration of firearms, ammunition, or firearm supplies. (b) Subsection ...

Re: Employer Car Searches

I've had my car searched going into a NASA facility, which has a codified prohibition against firearms. The search was not random, they had a specific threat that they were searching for. The were searching the engine compartments of all white trucks entering the facility. They did not search the ca...

Re: Travelling - interstate via airlines.. case?

Flying out of West Palm Beach, the gate agents have you wait at the ticket counter until the bag clears the X-ray machine, since they don't have visible TSA screening checked baggage. So plan on an extra 10 minutes. When the machine was not working the agent told me to go to the gate but listen for ...

Re: Anyone been to Jones Hall in Houston?

I'm taking my daughter to see the Houston Symphony perform Handel's Messiah this Sunday. Has anyone been there that can tell me if they are posted 30.06? I would like to be able to carry my Kahr but I do not want to get there and find out they are posted and then have to go back to the car and drop...

Re: Travelling - interstate via airlines.. case?

I use one of those triangular single gun cases when I travel. It has a place where you can put a regular pad lock on it. Also, the declaration tag is supposed to be outside of your locked case, inside your suitcase. This way the TSA screeners know that the firearm has been declared properly without ...
