I got my wings at the Fort Benning School for Boys in the summer of '80.

Oh, as far as jumping out of a perfectly good airplane: There ain't no such thing. ;-)
December '87 I recieved by "Blood Wings" for those of you in the know. Looked like I had been bitten by a 5' snake, bruised for 3 weeks.

I bet in the PC world of today blood wings are a thing of the past, like so many other traditions.

The tower was the spookiest part of jump school, your just hanging there waiting your turn in the silence. The chutes used do guarranty an exciting landing.
